About BGC Digital Home

BGC Digital Home is the digital platform of Blessed Generation Church. It provides devotionals, sermons, ministry information, event information, prayer, giving and account features.

Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account or using the platform you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

Eligibility

An account is intended for a person who is able to enter into an agreement. A child's information should be managed by a parent or legal guardian through the parent managed features.

Account registration

You agree to give accurate information when you register and to keep it up to date.

Account security

Keep your password confidential and tell the church promptly if you believe your account has been used without permission.

Permitted use

Use the platform for personal, ministry and church related purposes in line with these terms and the Community Guidelines.

Prohibited conduct

• Unlawful, harmful or abusive activity
• Harassment, bullying, threats or hate speech
• Sexual, exploitative or predatory content or conduct
• Impersonating another person, a pastor, an elder, a leader or an administrator
• Scams, fraudulent fundraising, spam or unauthorised advertising
• Sharing another person's private information without permission
• Attempting to gain unauthorised access to the platform or to other accounts

Community participation

Where community features are available, the BGC Community Guidelines form part of these terms.

Church resources and teaching content

Sermons, devotionals and teaching resources are made available for personal spiritual growth and for sharing through the sharing features provided in the app.

Content you submit

You keep responsibility for the content you submit. By submitting content you confirm you have the right to share it. Submitting a testimony does not by itself give BGC permission to publish it; publication permission is asked for separately.

Intellectual property

Unless stated otherwise, the following remain the property of Blessed Generation Church or its licensors:

• Sermons and sermon recordings
• Devotionals and written teaching material
• Video and audio content
• Teaching materials, courses and books
• The BGC name, logos and wordmark
• Graphics, design elements and photography
• Ministry resources

How content may be used

You may view, listen to, and share content using the sharing features provided in the app, for personal and non commercial purposes. Commercial reproduction, resale, re publication or editing of BGC content requires the written approval of BGC.

Third party content and links

Some content is hosted by third parties. Sermon videos, for example, may be embedded from YouTube and are subject to YouTube's own terms and privacy practices. Links to other websites are provided for convenience and BGC does not control those sites.

Giving

Giving is voluntary. The app does not process payments: giving is by direct bank transfer (EFT) to the church's bank account shown on the Give page. The Giving Terms apply.

Events

Event details may change. Where an event needs registration, it happens on the event's official registration link, not in the app.

Communications

Service messages relating to your account and the things you have asked for are separate from optional news and marketing messages, which you choose and can switch off at any time.

Notifications

Push notifications are optional and can be switched off in the app or in your device settings.

Availability

The church intends the platform to be available and reliable but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access.

Changes to the platform

Features may be added, changed or removed as the ministry develops.

Suspension or termination

Access may be suspended or ended where these terms or the Community Guidelines are seriously or repeatedly broken, or where it is necessary to protect people on the platform.

Privacy

The Privacy Notice explains how personal information is handled and forms part of these terms.

Disclaimers

Content is provided for spiritual encouragement and church information. It is not professional medical, legal, financial or psychological advice.

Limitation provisions

These terms do not assert broad limitations of liability, indemnities or warranties beyond what the law allows.

Applicable law

These terms are intended to be governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa.

Questions and disputes

Please contact the church first so that a concern can be resolved directly. Contact details are on the Legal Information page and are to be confirmed by BGC.

Changes to these terms

Where these terms change materially, users will be shown the update and asked to review and accept the new version. Minor wording corrections do not require renewed acceptance.
