What the app stores on your device
The app stores a small amount of information on your device so it can work: your sign in session, your saved devotionals and sermons, reading progress, devotional notes and the items you create while not signed in. These stay on your device and are not part of your account.
Visit statistics from the hosting service
The hosting service (Lovable) uses a short-lived visit code in a cookie to count visits and record pages viewed, how long pages stay open, page-speed measurements and error reports. The app does not give these statistics your name, email address or account, and they are not used for advertising. They are part of the hosting service and cannot be switched off in the app.
Other services
Sermon videos use YouTube's privacy-enhanced player (youtube-nocookie.com). It reduces, but does not stop, what Google receives: once you play a video, YouTube may store information on your device under its own privacy practices. The Visit page map (Google Maps) and the app's fonts (Google Fonts) also load from Google.
What is not used
There are no advertising or marketing trackers, no advertising identifiers, and no analytics tools added by BGC such as Google Analytics or Firebase Analytics. If BGC wants to add tools like these in future, this notice will be updated first.
In the phone apps
The phone apps show the same website, so the same applies. The only phone permission the app asks for is notifications, and you can change it at any time in your phone's settings.
